Paving the way for equality

The tide is turning in business culture, can you feel it? The issues of gender equality, diversity and mental health are now at the top of business agendas. The impacts of the menopause are also being discussed with more female focused companies actively seeking ways to support women. I am grateful and welcome these changes.

The quotas are working, there are now more women on boards. And yet reports tell us that gender parity is over 200 years away. I still find this difficult to believe. So what exactly stands in the way of true equality for women in the workplace?

I find myself reviewing this question: How far have we actually come on the journey of equality and what needs to happen now? Through my work with women, I’ve highlighted the key opportunities for us to further this conversation and empower active change.

Step one - find ways to connect to feminine energy

The rise to the top can be a long and hard journey, with many sacrifices made. Those who are promoted ahead of the usual timeframe, face issues like imposter syndrome and often hide feelings of inadequacy. For many, the price of promotion can weigh heavily on the body and mind.

We need to change this narrative by supporting women with training and support that empowers them in areas of feminine leadership & energy, with a strong connect into wellbeing and nature (our inner nature and our planet). There is a need to create space and safety for women to do the deep work required for them to elevate from a conscious and, wholehearted place.

I work with women at the very top and I see what can truly be achieved when they empower themselves, others and feminine leadership. These women are trailblazers, they are mavericks, they are wholehearted leaders, they understand the power of ‘collaboration.’ They move mountains to support the wellbeing of others and evolution of culture. They have a voice and they use it to be of service, it’s inspiring.

If you are a leader at the top, how are you showing up in your daily interactions and what energy are you moving from? Are you allowing feminine energy to find its place within the board room and wider? Are you nurturing, mentoring and developing feminine qualities in others, so that the ripple affect can expand?

This blog is part of my new “Feminine Trailblazers” series. My work is committed to nurturing a feminine form of leadership and wellbeing in today’s world, one that makes a wholehearted difference to people, planet and profit.
