No more lone wolf
Isolation and separation aren’t just experiences - they’re tactics. Sometimes survival mechanisms. Especially for women.
We’ve been conditioned to see competition as toxic, as something to avoid. While men are encouraged to compete, we’ve been told to “be kind.” To not make waves. To play small.
But that’s only one side of the story. What if competition wasn’t about winning alone - but rising together?
For years, I lived the lone wolf story. I didn’t grow up competing in sports. Exercise became a solitary ritual - spin classes, gym sessions, yoga. Always within community, but never fully in it. I led teams, I coached, I empowered others. But underneath it all, I felt separate. Guarded. Unsure of who I could truly lean on. Who would really see me if I ever dropped the mask.
I wanted to belong - to be accepted for who I really was. But I’d been numbing for years.
Now, in midlife, everything’s shifted. I’ve discovered how essential connection is to our fulfilment. That true power is born from collaboration, purpose, and shared goals.
Connection that feels good inside the body.
Plugging into myself, into others, into ancient and lived wisdom - this is where change happens. Real, grounded, beautiful change.
Working with Lucy on the Say It, Sister podcast has been a liberating, heart-opening journey. Women’s voices are powerful. They create alignment, movement, and magic.
That’s why we’re launching The Wisdom School - a place to share the tools, teachings, and truths we’ve gathered over 25+ years.
Because you don’t have to do it alone and a journey that’s shared, is more fullfilling.
